Jeremiah and Morgan Johnson have a rich history of church planting, establishing ministries, and discipling leaders and saints. A best selling author of multiple books and a globally recognized prophet, Jeremiah has ministered in 42 states and 20 foreign nations. He is also a popular television guest on The 700 Club, Daystar, TBN, Sid Roth It’s Supernatural, The Jim Bakker Show, and GodTV. Morgan is a successful entrepreneur and business owner who loves investing in her family, health, and travel. She also enjoys ministering to marriages, kids, and women.
Upon graduating from Southeastern University, the Johnsons planted a church in Central Florida in 2010 and successfully pioneered for a decade. As the church family multiplied and a second campus was birthed, Jeremiah and Morgan passed the leadership off to a tremendous elder team who now lead Heart of the Father Ministry together.
In 2020, the Johnsons were divinely called to North Carolina through an invitation from God to birth and establish The Altar Global, The Altar School, and The Altar Church. The Altar Global is an Antioch Resource Center based in Kannapolis, NC. The Altar School is a three year discipleship program with a mandate to train, equip, and send men and women in every sphere of society.
From planting churches, ministering around the world, birthing an end-time movement, and establishing schools of ministry, they have given their entire lives to the frontlines of the kingdom of God. The Johnsons enjoy investing into the lives, marriages, and families of many in the region and cannot wait to see what God will do in the days ahead!

Hello- we are Chad and Krista Dearey and we are so excited to be a part of the Pastoral Team here at The Altar Church. We have been married for over twenty years and have eight children–four boys and four girls. The majority of our lives has been spent in marketplace ministry as self-employed entrepreneurs. Our constant passion has always been the marriage of family and ministry in the home.
We believe the Lord is creating a space and place here at The Altar that feels like home. A place where you feel comfortable … there’s a sense of peace … and everything seems right. Similar to that feeling that you have when you come back after a long trip, you race through the front door and can’t wait to be with your family. Our hearts’ desire is to build a Kingdom family that feels like that here at The Altar. It won’t be perfect. But our hope is that you will have a knowing in your heart that this is where God has placed you, this is home.
As our family comes alongside the Burchfield and Johnson families to help serve at The Altar, we endeavor to build a home that our Father will abide in. A place where hungry people gather to experience the love and fire of God. A place where family is valued, cultivated and celebrated. A place where children are prized and prioritized. A place where men and women are fathered. A home where everyone has a voice to be heard, a hand to help and a knowing that they belong.

Hey y’all! We are Josh and Nicollette Burchfield, and we are so honored to be a part of the leadership team here at the Altar Church. I (Nicollette) am originally from Pennsylvania, and my husband was born and raised right here in Concord, NC. We have been married for 13 years. We are mom and dad to four beautiful children: Uriah, Aila, Julian, and Cyrus. We have always had a huge heart for family- and what a joy that The Lord has invited us to become one FAMILY with Him!
Our heart beats both for the local expression as well as the global body of Christ. Locally, community is so important to us, and our desire is to know the people we are running together with. We desire to be a community full of healthy marriages and families who radically love and pursue Jesus, no matter the cost. Globally, we believe we can partner in prayer with believers all over the world as we become a Bride made ready for His return.
For over 13 years, we have been, and will continue to be, part of building worship and prayer. We confidently felt The Lord call us to be a part of the local expression here at The Altar, it is our joy to be here, and we look forward to serving you as we run this race together.
